Stress Analysis of the Pipeline Laid Along the Slope

Abstract: In the process of pipeline construction, as a result of the slope potential difference along the way of gas transmission pipeline, the stress in different point of the pipe differs which will probably cause the force acting on the pipe exceed the stress of allowance and as a consequence the pipes will easily lapse. In conclusion, it is particularly important and necessary to do pipeline force analysis so as to check whether it satisfies the design specifications and safety requirements or not. This article uses the stress analysis software CAESAR II to analyze the stress of XX pipeline laid along the slope, with the research of pipeline stress on installation, pressure test and operating conditions, we determine pipeline laid along the slope has higher security, the results provide corresponding theoretical basis for the design and construction of pipeline laid along the slope, with a project value and significance, it further guarantees the safe operation of such pipeline.
